Through our portal, you can safely and easily view the amount of your outstanding debt 24/7. Through the portal, you can pay your debt or set up a payment plan.

I want to receive the documents of my debt. How do I request them?

It is your own responsibility to keep documents properly. If you can no longer find them, you can send us a request via the contact form. We will process your request and send the documents.

I want to pay. To which account number can I do so?

The e-mail or letter you received from us contains the name of the party where you had a debt. We have bought this debt. As of now, you no longer have to pay this party and you have a debt with Hoist Finance.

·       I had already paid before Hoist Finance bought the debt.
If you believe that you were no longer in arrears with the party we bought the debt from, please contact that party first. Then call us on 088- 1414 000, so that no further costs will be charged to you. If it turns out that you no longer had a debt with that party, they will contact us and we will handle this further.

 

·       I have already paid to Hoist Finance

If you believe that the amount of your debt is incorrect because you have already paid to us, please send us the proof of payment using the contact form.

 

The payment receipt must show: account number, name of account holder, date of payment and the amount paid. 

I do not agree with (the amount of) this debt. What can I do?

·       I was not in arrears with the previous party

If you believe that you were no longer in arrears with the party we bought the debt from, please contact that party first. Then call us on 088- 1414 000 so that no further costs will be charged to you. If it turns out that you no longer had a debt with that party, they will contact us and we will handle this further.

 

·       I disagree with this debt

If you believe that (the amount of) this debt with Hoist Finance is not correct, please call 088-1414 000 or send an email using the contact form stating why you believe this debt is not correct.

I made a payment, but it has not been processed in my account. What can I do?

It may take several hours for the payment to be processed. If your payment is still not showing after 48 hours, please contact your bank. Also check the description in your payment.

I want to know what I have already paid to Hoist Finance. How can I see that?

All payments you have made to us can be viewed in your online account through our portal.

I have paid the debt in full. Will I receive a confirmation of this?

We will only send you a confirmation if you specifically request it. You can check the amount of your outstanding debt in your online account through our portal.

I have received a letter from the bailiff. What should I do?

If you have received a message from the bailiff, we ask you to contact this party. Hoist has then transferred the debt to the bailiff. You will find the bailiff's contact details on the letter or e-mail you received. For questions about the BKR, please contact Hoist Finance. Call 088-1414 000 or send an e-mail via the contact form.

I have a question about my BKR registration.

·       Why am I registered with the BKR?
You entered into a credit agreement with the party from whom we bought the debt. When you enter into a credit agreement, it is automatically registered in the BKR. If you do not pay on time, the lender will report in the BKR that you are in arrears. Hoist Finance is required by law to take over the BKR registration from the previous party.

·       When will my BKR registration be removed?
Once your entire debt is paid, we record the date of your last payment as the actual end date of your credit. The BKR will keep your registration for 5 years, after which the BKR will remove it.

·       I have paid my file in full, but there is no end date in my BKR registration.
You can check the amount of your debt through your personal account in our portal. If an outstanding amount is still listed here, even though you believe your debt has been paid in full, please send us proof of payment via the contact form

     The proof of payment must show: account number, name of account holder, date of payment and the amount paid.

 

If your debt has been paid, but the end date has not yet been recorded on your BKR registration, you can send us an email using the contact form. Please include your name, date of birth, address information, phone number and the contract number of your registration with BKR. Or call us at 088-1414 000. We will record the end date if it appears that your debt has actually been paid.

I have registered for debt counseling or I am getting help with my debts. What should I do?

If you have registered for debt assistance, we ask you to send proof via the contact form.

 

If you are already in debt counselling, we ask you to provide us with the organization and name of your debt counselor via the contact form, and we will then contact them.
